Tub Frogs

A bath toy by Learning Curve Toys for 18 months and up.

The company desired to enter the bath toy category with a product at a $19.99 price point. The toy should be fun, educational, and look attractive when sitting on a shelf near the tub. The idea was to encourage users to display the toy so it might be played with more. I aimed to develop a concept with three squeezable frogs. Children could squeeze one of three frogs and get a different water spray pattern. The blue rubber frog squirts a stream of water. The red frog delivers a rain-like shower. The yellow frog doubles as a cup to catch and eject water in small gulps. A dragonfly sits on an inverted cup that drains water onto the wings to spin the dragonfly. The lily pad channels water in three play patterns and doubles as an attractive storage tray when placed near a tub.
