Robotix

A construction toy by Learning Curve Toys for ages 8 and up.

Learning Curve desired to update this construction toy to make it more engaging for users. Simple motor controls and programmed sequences could be done with a hand-held remote control.

I introduced a rescue mission/problem-solving storyline to encourage a more immersive play pattern using a computer. I wrote storylines with emergency situations which asked users to respond by constructing a rescue vehicle from the set’s components. I worked with outside sources for the production of the CD including a build simulator for creating virtual constructions. New vehicle designs were created with unique motive functions that adapted to situations presented in the rescue mission storyline.
