An easy, do-it-yourself animation website for all ages.

GoAnimate provided a library of pre-animated assets users could select through a drag-and-drop interface. Animated sequences could then be customized by clicking on any character or object to direct its action.  Members could also upload custom images, audio files and video files.

I developed the user interface for the alpha test site with the company founder and one programmer based in Hong Kong. As a start-up team member, my roles including, art directing character designs from animators in China, created style guides, produced tutorial videos, created story pitches for licensed property owners; Dilbert, Family Guy, The Simpsons and South Park. I recruited writers and strategized the creation of samples covering all forms of story genres, managed a promotional campaign to make editorial cartoons by university political action groups.

As the Hong Kong programming team grew, I helped the founder encourage better productivity with his team using gamification like highlighting bugs on a leaderboard of problems discovered and problems solved promoted better collaboration and product quality.
